Excellent stuff Kim.

What's your target date for a) finalising the advanced set parts and b) going to production on the finalised set?

Whatever makes the final set by the way please can we have a set of funnel exhaust louvres.

P.s the more I look at that Arado, the more I think it could do with some of your fantastic PE, I'm thinking main flaps and tail rudder in brass shown as lowered or (rudder) turned positions would look amazing. I'm going to have to glaze those canopy windows too.

Damn, where do you stop with something like this lol.

Hello Mr.Kim,
I hope not to be just too late with my Suggestion for the Bismarck Advanced Set: What do you think about the idea to add to your PE Set the small rudders for the floats of the Ar 196 and adding eight triangular devices to keep the distance between the aereal Antenna strings(see Pages 139, 140 of the famous Bismarck Dokumentation. - it might be that the right expression for this item is called Triangular Aereal Spreader) .
Will it be possible to integrate these Add Ons in your planned PE sets?
Anyhow I think you are making a wonderful Advanced Set I am waiting for.
Best regards

Just back from Nuremberg fair.

Many difficulties finished through Funnels and Carts.

And good news is I decided to add 3(2+1) brass propellers supplied from European Companies.
Now I start again for Advanced set with designing Paravanes.

Triangle Aerial supporters and rudders for Aradoalso in mind.

Thank you

Good to see this set is progressing.

Kim, please PLEASE PLEASE give us PE to add/replace the conduit lines on the whole ship:

They are the biggest missing detail on the superstructure; they are non-existent on the main deck level, poorly molded on the upper superstructure pieces and no other aftermarket set has addressed them. Thanks! :wave_1:

Hi Mr Kim,

I sent a request to your email back in December for some missing parts that were in my Bismarck kit and you responded saying the would be shipped soon. I've been waiting patiently and can't complete several areas including the main mast. I would really appreciate it if you could ship these parts. The address I gave you is a US address. Please let me know if I should send you another email.

thanks

Glad to hear you are back. I hope you had a good Time in Germany. :wave_1:

For the Funnel Cover, do you plan to relocate it on the Advanced Set because i already build mine (but not glued on) and i don't want to by another Basic set in case it gets damaged?

My suggestions for the Advanced Set are:

Missing Doors and Bars:

firehose replacements. The molded things are so ugly.

Image

the 2 above the lower Superstructure are missing. There are wider ones, with 3 firehoses on it. and not included in the Kit.

Image

There are 2 additional firehoses on the front lower Superstructure. These 2 are also completely missing in the kit.

Image

The missing Ventilator cover fins:

These triangled thing on the Crane Platforms and some Cable holders:

and the anchor bouy's

and maybe the 2 Otter Cranes:

Regards from Germany

I really do appreciate the kind comment...

...but I'm sorry to report my Bismarck didn't fare so well when we moved last month. I dropped it accidentally. :Mad_6:

Here's a picture to warm the hearts of Englishmen everywhere:

It's fixable but the entire forward superstructure broke off, most of the railings are all smashed I am also missing a few crucial parts that somehow disappeared when it fell.

Luckily I still have another brand-new kit as well as the Pontos basic set in the stash... gotta say my credit card is practically jumping out of my wallet to be used on this next set, if only Pontos would finish it and put it on the market. Next time will be even better.

Wow.

Anybody who has started their Bismarck kit already is going to be mightily disappointed they didn't wait when the advanced set finally gets released.

That funnel Mr Kim is simply breath taking :thumbs_up_1:

I think your work is an inspiration to everybody.

Magical.

Pete_G wrote:Hi Kim,

Did you manage to get the Catapult walkway and railing included as part of your basic set?

I have attached a picture of another 1/200 model showing the walkway which extends out with the catapult so that you can see the walkway I am trying to describe.

It's present on each side of the catapult and on both sides of the ship.

Many Thanks
Pete,

Laufbrcke was not shown on the final state but will be included at "Advanced set".

Thank you
Kim
Kim,

Just checking that you have not forgotten to include the catapult walkways and railing and the funnel louvres as part of the advanced set? thank you.
