I have a propose. You can set up more than one Advanced sets, because there some customers want to build a really meticulous and lifelike Bismarck. It means there need so many parts, but other people do not want to build a very complicated one but no very simple. Compare with the pontos for 1/350 IJN YAMATO from Tamiya and Flyhawk which is the Chinese brand, we can see the chinese one is much more meticulous. I hope the pontos can reference some details of Flyhawk for this bismark in this time.
eg. The windows and boxes of the wall in the bridge, the part is very important and very worth to using metal parts to replace, but I can not see any of this part in it. I feel this part is the most
outstanding section in the model of bismarck.
Well I will keep in mind except referring other company's detail.
As for the PE details,
Theoretically possible PE design always don't come out in real applying on work. So all our parts have been tested several times to be assembled to reduce failure and to be realized by customers in really and practically. With this reason, you can see more and more customer's Modelling works applied and finalized with our dtail up set have come out at this work process forum of this site.
Of course we have tried to realize almost missed or wrong details with PE, Turned brass, Resin or other materials.
But Too much meticulous relization with PE come to fruitless result as papaer craft.
So we also have tried to design appropriate point between realism and limit of PE characteristic.

Anyway in conclusion, we have tried to design detail up set to be enjoyd and applied in really by almost customers not only to be stacked on the shelves ot to be frustrated without success.

Please keep to give us any advice at any matter.

Thank you
Kim

No, Kim ,that is not most of the customers, I still to get YAMATO to do an example, there are at least hundreds of customers buy it in only one forum.for me , I do have only 2 friends buy it and the other 50 guys choese Flyhawk, the reason why these 2 guys buy Pontos, 1, because of the metel mast, 2, because he bought it before Flihawk offering. They all got strong purchasing power, and that is a huge market in china. But for the chinese provision, they can not open and use many inernet page , like facebook and youtube even this page I am using, they all can not join in and tell you what they really want and apply the detail. From many chinese model building forums, I can see and read, they all expect a very meticulous supper detail. And the reason why they all expect the pontos bismarck is there is not any chinese company do it, you will get a huge market in chinses if you can release more parts in Advanced sets. I believe that chosing a more meticulous produce is more popular than a more easy building. Thats why the number of times more people in chinese chose Flyhawk than pontos, because meticulous is the buyer need. As they says oh it is good toy but I need a real model. If they chose easy building , they would not but a big scale ship key. Good quality is your superiority, just keep it and improve meticulous level, then your company will gain a lot of buyer in chinese, I do really mean a lot of!!
And also, I think the litte parts such as windows and Triangular orifice are not that hard to develop. Triangular orifice is just the right size Triangle and some holes in it. But that simple method can help your company to open a really huge market, so why do not do.

Well to discuss in limitation only Chinese market, your 2:50 maybe right.
But Excluding China I don't think there have been 2:50 sharing over the world.
Already Yamato(New Tool) set is our one of best seller so if 2:50 is also fact for remained world, Other maker should sold out 4times of Tamiya Yamato kit produced quantity. So it is impossible. Only Brandon of FTH may know the sales sharing of Yamato(new Yamato) set because I think FTH may be the index of this ship market. Our Japanese Dealers have been also very satisfied with their sales performance of our Yamato set. And one of largest Japanese dealer even decided to deal with only our Yamato set. Anyway I've never seen other maker's Yamato set yet so Idon't know how theirs are wonderful. But I've also gotten many feedbacks from our customers for More addition in details. So I think there may be "Advanced set" for Yamato as this Bismarck case.

Thank you for your advice for the Windows and Triangular orifice. We may add these at the Advanced set.

Kim

hello,
Mr.Kim-any idea when this Set will be available to European Market and where to buy ?

I still think, it was a great idea to do 2 Sets.
I guess the add on is for totaly grazy Builders only :thumbs_up_1:
It all looks great on the frets, but the Modeler still has to bring it onto this ship-which will be a hell of a work-even Set 1.

Having Photos already available means, u had a hell of a work too-lately

The more i see, the more i want this set.

And then lets see if their is space left within my patience for the add on :heh:

NO Kim
I am discussing the market, I just want to talk about the propose. As I try, Pontos has the very very good quality, that is the way that the other companys or brands hard to follow. Increasing some possible details is much more easier than increase the quality. So, keep this good quality, and add more detail of metal PE, Pontos will be very very perfect, I do really mean perfect!!! Pontos is much more close to this level than other brands. Sometimes you will gain so many fans from the other countrys that you have not noticed , if can add more details, i am very serious.

I did a survey after the your pontes 200 bismarck basic detail released, and it shows most of the people who are waiting for the metal etcheds to put on their bismarck want (1) all the windows , blinds and boxes in the wall of the bridge, (2) triangular orifices, plate support frames below each floor of bridge. And they very value these fewer parts for Bismarck, and somebody told me that that is the reason to choise which brand to buy. I believe that there few parts are easier developing than many kinds of gun.

We are all waiting for you and the Advanced sets. I am not just talking about the Bismarck, you know the 200 scale USS CV-8 aircraft carrier from trumpter is come soon. Good quality (50%) and as much as possible PE details(50%) are the main factor that we chose for a big scale ship model, because buying and building this kind of model is for collection more than just for fun and playing, right?

All is going well. Today we've got all 11 PE frets of First lot.
We've started to pack all mateials.
Shipping from 7th May to US and Europe..
4 men took 1 week to assemble this without painting.
Not so hard but only just took much time.
It may be hell but after 50% finished you can stqart to meet Heaven...

After 1/350 Kongo Class we will estimate again our new IJN ships.

Yep Windows and Boxes and others you've mentioned may be easy to design.
I think many Chinese modelers would like to realize these.
I think this reason is many 1/350 ships had lack of these details we had tried these details at structure of Iowa class.
We've decided at 1/200 the Kit itself has a reasonable effect without PE.
But we will keep in mind to add these at Advanced set.

The following rail not windows (or boxes) shows what is meticulous detail for 1/200 kit.

Please keep your advice on..

Kim,

Can you please advise me WHERE and WHEN I can buy your 1/200 Bismarck Set in the United Kingdom please??

For what it's worth, before stumbling on this thread I didn't have a clue who Pontos were as I mostly bought Lionroar, Eduard and GMM photo etch.

However seeing your efforts on this kit and looking at your other products now I will be looking at your products before checking anything else.

Very Very well done on the 1/200 Bismarck set, what you have achieved here is nothing short of magnificant so please don't keep us all in suspense waiting for the advanced set. Keep this thread going and get the Bismarck Pontos project completely finished :thumbs_up_1:

And when you get time to draw breath, I would like to repeat a request made by another contributor to this thread who called for a 1/200 Nichimo Yamato set and I would also be interested in a Pontos set for the 1/350 Trumpeter HMS Hood.

Both massively popular subjects and surely a target for you guys.

Best Regards

Pete

The best way is to ask at your local shop or Worldwide shippiing mall as FTH.
Surely FTH is one of the fastest dealer where to get.
The First lot quantity has been sold out already to our dealers.
Our schedule is all the first lot quantity shipped from 7th May to our dealers.

And Hood is in our sight.

Thank you

And i dont want anyone scissor around in my Set.

And also they are expect to see more adding detail very strongly. So, please consider to add more and more details in the Advanced set. I have showed this pictures in only one forum, and there are so so so many model hibby forums in china. Then you can know how big is that market for you.
