"modifications at retail product"...Does that mean the set will not be released this week? Seems like you're still working on it. Any idea when it will be released realistically?

Mr Kim,

Just a suggestion, but after this long wait, PERSONALLY, I wouldn't mind a few extra weeks of waiting until the instructions have been properly checked and every part fully accounted for on the set.

I think it would make a lot of sense for you to get this release right first time, rather than get involved
in instruction updates and the re-issue of corrective parts etc.

I know it will be amazing when it comes.

Can you make sure White Ensign Models get a batch of the first release too :wave_1:
Sh*t, I'm going to have to go through all this again when the 1/200 Trumpeter Hood gets released :faint:

Mr. Kim,

For the people that have already purchased your Bismarck Basic Set (23001F1), how much extra will it be to JUST GET the pieces that will be added to the Advanced set? We paid almost $200 for the basic set, but now you are coming out with an advanced set and we just want those extra pieces.

Thanks,

The Advanced set includes ONLY parts that are NOT included in the basic set. That is, the entire Advanced set is "extra pieces" compared to the Basic set.

Mr Kim

Those funnel vents are amazing. You should be very proud with what you have achieved with this trumpeter kit, despite the teething difficulties, I don't think there is anything available that is comparative with what you have produced here.

I noticed there was over 60,000 views of this thread. Can I ask, has the Bismarck set been your biggest seller to date?

And can I ask what will be the TOTAL cost of your advanced set. You say in an earlier post above that it will be $40 more, so if it's increased by $40, what is the total cost of the advanced set going to be?

Thanks

Pete

The $40 increase refers to the version 2 of the Basic set and has nothing to do with the Advanced set.

So the situation is this:

If you already have version 1 of the Basic set, then you only need to pay for the Advanced set (price TBD).

If you don't have version 1 of the Basic set, then you need to get both version 2 of the Basic set and the Advanced set. Because version 2 of the Basic set is $40 more than version 1 (due version 1 having been undercharged, and version 2's changes include better instructions without having to go online as well as carts for the Arado), you would have to pay $40 more compared to those who were early and bought version 1.

Kim can correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but that's what I get from reading the last five pages or so.

Basic set would be around $ 220.- after the $40.- raise and I would think that the Add-on will not be under $100.- The total will be more than the current price of the base model. Is it worth it? I clearly say "yes" - but only if you have the stamina to finish it, which is a challenge but one worth tackling!

Well Advanced final retail price is not determined yet but it depends on the final size of PE frets and number of turned brass parts and brass screws.

Following boat crutches also will be incldued.

Some additional doors will be included.
I have thought we would input almost electric wires on the structure walls that missed at the kit.
But this takes some more weeks. So we would not do this at this time.
But almost flat vents including following will be included.

Well, the electric wires must be attached first to the structure walls. What you will then use all the additions from the advance set if you have them tear down again?

Wait a few weeks longer yet is now really not so bad. You can still be happy that Kim at all which makes for us :thumbs_up_1:

Moreover, it is summer ... where is the problem

The Advanced Add-on set is finalized

Post by Pontosmodel »

Hi all,

I determined that Electric Wirings will be included at the final state.
One problem is we can't tested and fit all these on the all the structure walls.
But I designed a more longer for each wire end and there are some extra wires for your customizing area.
With this wire, I tried to add almost your wishing contents.

So this Advanced Add-on set is finalized.

During last weekend I have tested to fit all the parts that newly added at this set.
Some modifications that not fit well on the kit also have been finished.
Now I am layouting PE frets and the result of this size can make decision for the final retail price.
I will announce this price soon with final contents..
Instruction Manual is also being finalized.

One other problem is the supplying of the brass screws.
The supplier of this brass screws reported us some hundred set supplying of this need some more weeks.
Mainly because the producing of these screws need slow manual works for finishing.
So we asked them to supply bit by bit, small quantity to small quantity not at one time.
They are making new schedule for the first batch supplying.
I will let you know the schedule of releasing soon.
If not so good in supplying of these screws I will release without screws and these screws will be sold separately from this Advanced set.

Following photos are just new parts added at final stage.

Hi Kim
I think we can wait to these screws are ready.
It is not very convenient that buying these screws separately for customers.
We only need to buy the Advanced bag and it including everything. That must be the best.
So it means we can wait to your everything is ready, although it still need a few weeks. It does not matter. The most important thing is the Advanced version is perfect as much as possible and we only need to buy once and it including everything already.
