I have already the G Factor screws so I think it is a good thing to let the choice to the customer if he wants to buy these screws or not. And the screws wont take a smal part in the final price of the advanced set.

I don't know G Factor screw well.
But we have spent too much time for these screws.
So I hope these screws would not delay more.

I think we can wait to these screws are ready.
It is not very convenient that buying these screws separately for customers.
We only need to buy the Advanced bag and it including everything. That must be the best.
So it means we can wait to your everything is ready, although it still need a few weeks. It does not matter. The most important thing is the Advanced version is perfect as much as possible and we only need to buy once and it including everything already.

Like many of their other props, it has various machining and casting marks that mar the surface. If every Pontos prop is as clean and well-done as the ones posted above, then they are definitely an improvement.

I actually think the Pontos screws look too nice, if you know what I mean.

Shouldn't be too hard to scuff it up a bit with some sandpaper - at least you don't have to worry about filling and sanding and then painting the filler, which would mean painting the prop, which kinda makes getting brass props redundant.

I determined that Electric Wirings will be included at the final state.
One problem is we can't tested and fit all these on the all the structure walls.
But I designed a more longer for each wire end and there are some extra wires for your customizing area.
With this wire, I tried to add almost your wishing contents.

Hi all,
New to the forum and I am trying to navigate the waters without making a fool of myself here. Well my question is I have recently come into possession of the 1/200 trumpeter bismarck and I wanted to get the Pontos detail set for it but the detail sets seem to be harder to get than unicorn teeth. If they are listed on websites they cant get them or they simply say not in stock. I have a couple inquires to ebay vendors to see if they can actually get it or is it just listed on their site. Secondly is Pontos going to manufacture or release this set anytime soon. I am sorry if this has been covered and if I am pointed in the right direction I will look there. Any help is appreciated.

So I have read through this thread but must have missed it. PLEASE tell me, is there a date for the release of the upgrade set. I also have one other question: I cannot seem to find the version 2 basic set anywhere. everyone is telling me that it is unavailable. Is this true?

I imagine retailers are in the middle of swapping out their Basic Version 1 sets (if they have any left) for the new Basic Version 2 sets - this might take a while. So far, I see Lucky Model in Hong Kong has one left in stock.



I don't think a release date for the Advanced set has been finalized.

Yeah but the patience should be part of the fun. Waiting for materials every supposed week is NOT fun.

I think Pontos is too big for its britches. Trying to do too many things at the same time. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they took the money they made and just ran with it, never to be seen again.

Pontos don't seem to give a damn about its customers - just look at the number of unanswered questions on this site now - not just this Bismarck.
After the way we were all treated over the lacklustre instructions for the original Bismarck detail set (in effect we rewrote the entire set for them and they done there level best to just ignore them and hope it would go away) Granted in the end they did take up the offer of using the rewritten instruction sheets but it was done very bregrundingly with hardly a thank you to all those involved and was only done after a lot of complaints and pushing on this site.
After that saga l made the decision not to touch Pontos products again no matter what quality they were and seven of my colleagues have made that choice as well - we have all now stated that we find Flyhawk sets to be improving on each release (not that they were bad in the first place) - keep up the good work Flyhawk. Look at there range and it is growing fast as well.

Hi Alan,

I have not used flyhawk PE but I do have the Pontos and MK1 (KA Models) PE sets for my Yamato, I am finding myself using the MK1 kit more, in fact I would go as far to say that in my limited experience it is a much better kit than the Pontos one. Just my two cents
