Not a ton of detail on these punts. Just a simple flat bottom boat used for minor hull maintenance. Ribbing along the inside. Crew members either sat on the deck or the side like this.

check with member Jeff Sharp as he might have or know how to get those 14' punt pictures.

Yeah, those two I have, but I guess it being a small boat it does have an interior of some kind? Well, not interior, but some kind of detail of the inside of the hull like the usual boats have - rowing banks or the like. I would rather not have it look like an undefined blob of some kind, if possible, but I will go with just the overall shape from the BoGP if nothing better is available.

Sheet 3 - Outboard Profile shows the profile of the punt & Sheet 5 - Bridges & Superstructure Deck shows the topview of the punt in Oklahoma's Booklet of General Plans 1941.

Greetings folks, does anyone have a picture of the 14' punts that were located on top of Oklahoma's locker at the base of the mainmast? I can't seem to find absolutely any, for the life of me. Thanks all.

no problem.

Thanks all, that's what I suspected but was unsure of because I couldn't see it clearly in the pictures.

ModelFunShipyard, your bottom picture shows the #3 rangefinder is off center to the turret's centerline which matches the BoGP.

The #3 turret rangefinder extended on one side to clear the catapult. This was pointed out after I had built my #3 turret for my Oklahoma build.

Greetings folks, I am here once again to ask for your invaluable insight. Either there's a discrepancy between the BoGP for Oklahoma and her actual state in Pearl on 12/7, or working so many hours has fried my brain. There are rangefinders on both #2 and #3 turrets, which coincidentally seem to be the exact same on Okie's turrets, but on Nevada are installed only on #3 and #2's rangefinder has a slightly different 'ear' shape to its extremities, but nonetheless. That's not what I wanted to get at, just an observation I wanted to point out.
My problem stems from the position on the BoGP of said rangefinders. That on turret #3 seems to be offset from the longitudinal axis of the turret, but looking at pictures of the ship during and after the righting process I can't make out if that's actually the case. In fact, it does seem to me as if both rangefinders are centred on the ship's (and the turrets') centreline.
It wouldn't be the first time a Booklet has not been faithful to its subject 100%, but still I don't feel like the pictures provide me with a definitive answer either way; at least I haven't been able to find one with a resolution good enough to tell. Please help?

All the versions of the BoGPs I could find.

what drawings do you have already of that class?

Anything's good, really, but I was specifically looking at the Pearl Nevadas. Though anything else would still be greatly appreciated.

what time period as in pre 1920's modernization, post modernization or post Pearl Harbour?

Re: Calling all USS Nevada class (BB-36) fans

Greetings folks, I thought I'd try my luck here because the people in these threads are far more knowledgeable about the subject at hand than I will ever be in a lifetime. So I'd like to ask: to anybody's knowledge, are there published plans of line drawings of the Nevada class hull sections anywhere, that are actually any accurate? I have found the centre section for the Nevada class as built, but that's not enough.
I'd take those off by myself off the BoGP, but that'd take an awful lot of time and it still doesn't guarantee a perfectly accurate hull, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks for any help you can provide! :wave_1:

Here are some color stills of USS Nevada in the late 1930's.

As far as 5-D or 5-S on her, I can't seem to find any evidence of 5-S applied to her in these stills other than the thin strip of 5-S above the newly painted boot topping.

After her repairs were complete and she left for the States then she definitely had 5-S on her.
