Hello Bob,
This happened on the 24th of February 1944 when
Tally-Ho was stalking a Japanese convoy off the Malayan coast. Visibility was very poor and she met a Japanese escort on the surface too close by for the submarine to dive and for the escort to ram. The escort, apparently, was IJN torpedo-boat
Kari. They met head on and glanced against each other having the Japanese torpedo-boat propellers knifed the submarine saddle tanks.
