It will be much nicer to indicate the name of that captain . .
like this is very close to say " all Italian seaman are donkey because of a single one "

ACTUALLY...IT WOULD BE REALLY SUPER NICER IF YOU WOULD GO BACK AND READ POSTS A SECOND TIME BEFORE YOU JUMP THE GUN AND SUGGEST A MEMBER IS MAKING A RACIST STATEMENT....YOU WILL DISCOVER IT SAYS "ITALIAN CRUISE SHIP" ..NOT ITALIAN CAPTAIN..AND YES THE SHIP IN QUESTION IS ITALIAN REGISTERED. NOW...UNLESS YOU ALSO OBJECT TO REFERRING TO THE NATIONALITY OF A SHIP AS OFFENSIVE....

Denegration of Italians is still a problem? Last time I was in London (well Gatwick) some English woman was referring to the waitress as a NAZI because she was German. I gave her a dirty look. She started to say somthing to me after she saw me looking at her but i cut her off: "I'm half German, half Irish, all American from Texas. Keep moving. She shut up and she and her husband went to their table. That was in 2006, the last time I had heard somebody use NAZI and German interchangably was back in the 1970s. :mad_1:

Bare-metal foil might actually do the trick. It'd be easier to make the crinkled edges and small holes but I'm not sure if it would be rigid enough.

Suppose the PE wizards can come up with some PE to let us duplicate that damage! LOL. That would make an interesting build.

Sorry Timmy .. (and I do understand your position as an excellent moderator) but ....politically correct over-pandering to the hyper-sensitive has never been my style..... it only leads us further down that path to a future where it will be impossible to say or do anything for fear of offending someone, somewhere.

Now...to avoid further drama on the site, I shall retire and wish the best of everything to you and all my other good friends on the site. :wave_1:

p.s. ...while using all caps and bold face were intentional, I did fight the urge to also go with all italics in red font . :heh:

No need to fullcaps and bold everything - just a simple misinterpretation of the English language structure. Now if only it could be done like math with brackets - then the confusion would disappear.

Italian (Cruise ship captain)
vs.
(Italian cruise ship) captain.

Bob B.
Hello Bob,

This happened on the 24th of February 1944 when Tally-Ho was stalking a Japanese convoy off the Malayan coast. Visibility was very poor and she met a Japanese escort on the surface too close by for the submarine to dive and for the escort to ram. The escort, apparently, was IJN torpedo-boat Kari. They met head on and glanced against each other having the Japanese torpedo-boat propellers knifed the submarine saddle tanks.

U 35 in collision with Graf Spee, June 1938.

PS: to make it harder, should probably name the photo something unrelated to the incident ;)
