FWIW, WEM recommends their M19 RN deck green for late WW II Semtex.
The lid of the tin I have in front of me looks very like the Tamiya color you cite (at least on my monitor).
Certainly not the rather bilious green from Vallejo shown in your post.

Apologies to all the movie buffs here for my Subject line :smallsmile:

I found an excellent Vallejo to RN WWII color conversion chart on the internet, and it matches Sniders WWII colour chips very well. However, the Snider colour chip #1 do not include late war green semtex (I don't have chart #2). The Vallejo chart says to use [color=#00BF00]Vallejo 70968 Flat Green[/color] for the Semtex.

This is an eye popping green :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: ! My immediate thoughts were "Really? This much green?"

So good people of this forum - was the late war Semtex really [color=#008000]this green?[/color]. Or would a Tamiya XF-26 Deep Green be a better, tamer, calmer match?
