I have heard rumors of a technique for making hull skins from sheet plastic.
Apparently it involves warming the plastic gently so it is more compliant to fit over frames and stringers.
(No, this is not vacuforming skins...).
RhinoCAD will make "flat" patterns from compound-curved surface meshes, so this seems like something to attempt (for a large scale cruiser).
Supposedly this is on a web-site somewhere. Any clues?
