Hi Song,
Absolutely brilliant work!
Can you please tell me how did you make the AN/SPS-49 RADAR? Is it from bamboo like the deck railings? Then how do you make such fine strips? I have tried with wood and bamboo skewers but they never turn out neat and uniform like yours. I had given up progress on my ship because I couldnt make the radar and difficult parts out of wood, but now I see you have done it so easily. You are truly a Master! And the helo is fantastic too.
Regards,
Phil

That is, I've found guidance if you don't mind that I copy your procedure, Song?

I wish to build USS Iowa (not sure what version yet) in 1:120 scale for model railroad modules. I have not scratch-built a ship previously. I have tabletop CNC mill and lathe and intend, instead of wood, to use ABS 1/4-inch plastic sheet for hull and structural areas. I'm learning Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software so I hope Iowa will teach me several things as I go along as I will 3D draw parts for the ship.

Thank you much, Song, for building New Jersey and sharing that build here.
Thank you, BChapman!
I want to my works helping your model project, USS Iowa.
and I'll expect to your good model.
Song.

Believe me, I'd love to get the chance to see Song's work in person, he is consistently amazing in the results he achieves.

I have been watching Song's builds for some years now, and unless you see it with your own eyes, you would not believe
what you see. All who participate in this forum are simply "gobsmacked" by his work. And what about his speed in
producing absolute works of art in WOOD, for heavens sake!!. I also love his English, a compliment from an Englishman.
Song, you are a genius.
