Hi,
I have just clued in to the Model Warships website. It's Christmas come early!
I have been interested in model warships and naval history all my life and have created about 5 large collections in 1/1200 scale and 1/2400 over about 60 years.
1/1200 scale has always been my great love, and it has been with regret that I have seen the commercial market decline to endangered status.
In the last few years, in memory of my basswood/plasticard and wire fleets, I have undertaken to use 3D design for another, better attempt. I decided on using Sketchup as program and have plugged forward for the last few years. I'm not a natural with computers, but the desire to see it happen has moved me onwards.
I'm happy to say I am now getting results.
I'll post some images as soon I work out how (I said I wasn't a natural!)
It's great to find some fellow souls.
I'd love to hear any opinions or thoughts. I still have lots to learn on Sketchup.
All the best
