20 to 30 planes would cost me over �200 at around �8 per plane and besides, the Vic's hangar is fully enclosed, not having side elevators, so there is no point in having planes in the hangar. Just six or maybe eight at the most displayed on deck is my limit. One suspended on a short piece of piano wire, coming into land at the after end, is one theory I am thinking about. One on the catapult, one on the front lift, with wings folded and three or four parked up on deck. Each plane may have a few figures around them, doing various tasks such as loading torpedos or working on the fuselage, just as in a diorama, as well as flight deck staff scattered around the flight deck and crew on the open bridge. These of course will be the finishing touches to the completed model.
That is one reason why I wanted to build a Carrier, you can add lot's of detail, to make it resemble a fully functional model.
