Is that a RN late 19th century "flatiron" gunboat in the water in the background of this photo? I hadn't noticed this before.

Very nice job on the model looks spectacular it is amazing :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :worship_1: :worship_1: :worship_1:

But in the second grouping of pictures the second pic down there is a huge steamboat in the background (there�s a difference between scale boating and really boating for a hobby) :surfer:

Nothing short of mind-blowing! The close-ups of the masts, radar, etc. could easily be mistaken for the real thing, particularly the first two with the sky background. (I'll make sure to save these images to my PC in case I ever get the Trumpeter 1/200 kit - very useful reference for detailing)

I'd rather Dave or Jimmy Woods judged something I made, at least they do make models! There are some judges that I feel don't really know what they are looking at and who can't make model. I'm getting opn my bike again, but I do feel that part of the judges' criteria should be that they can do better or as good as those that they judge. As you can tell I'm not too fussy about judges.

I think the ducks were the best of the lot. They had real feathers. How's that for accuracy?

Hi Geoff It's great to be asked to judge a various events around the UK and I've always considered it a privilege that modellers allow me to view their model in this way. But I always take my judges hat off when I've finished.

In the picture showing the platform supporting the Cross Sword director all the cross members on the underside of that platform have been included. Having the privilege of judging this model I was surprised to see this sort of close attention to detail even in areas you don't normally see. Talking to the builder, after he's completed his Udaloy he'd would like the challenge of a 1:100 Kiev class carrier as 1:72 is just to large to transport.

It's "Pert" actually and is now radio controlled-it was human controlled until recently.

They have lost track of the Corsair, so its current position and condition are unknown.
