depends on the quality of the work. and how fast you need it done. also some of what your talking about involves from what I understand not just the outside but the inside as well. also things like the size of the ship. I tugboat will be much easyier then a big modern ship and a older sailing ship will be much harder mainly just from the rigging sence.

but mainly its the time spent. figure 15-20 dollars an hour would be a guess. maybe less maybe more depends on the person/group you get to do it.

Gentlemen,

If a museum were interested in a virtual build of a particular ship, what types of questions would have to be answered to prepare a ballpark estimate for such services?

This is very hypothetical right now but I am thinking along the lines of an animated build of a ship on the stocks through to a launch.

Any help or suggestions are most welcome.
