Does anybody have plans of the Lord Nelsons decks? especially the main and 1st deck? I like to wish to know how the superstructure elements located and in what shape between the 9,2" turrets, eg the fore and aft superstructure the 2 funnel uptakes and the supporting structure between the 2nd funnel uptake and aft superstructure.

Go to the Combrig website, look up products/1/350/Royal Navy/Lord Nelson, and look at the directions for the kit.

Well I'm more interested in official plans rather then models. Because they are sometimes inaccurate. For example I've seen models of the Lord Nelsons where the 3" QF guns were located on the turret roofs (8 pieces) while others show them on the superstructure and even seen one showing both in which case it exceeds the ship official suite of 24x 3"/50 QF guns number.

TZoli,

If anyone holds what you seek it will be the Historic Photographs and Ships Plans Section of the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich. I suggest that you enquire of them.

Thanks I will try to ask. in the mean time, what was the armament loadouts of both ships?
Most sources states the usual:
2x2 12"/45 BL Mark X
4x2,2x1 9,2"/50 BL Mark XI
24x1 3"/50 QF Mark I (12pdr)
2x1 47mm/40 QF Mark I (3pdr)

But the drawings shared by me and some other sites including the wiki states the light ATB gun armament being 18-20 in number.

On the rear hull of the Amagemenon by the admirals walk there is a cage, inside there's what looks like four balloons tied together. Can anyone tell me what it is??

It's a night lifebouy and the "balloons" are floats. Those were made of copper according to the Manual of Seamanship and usually kept highly polished.

Thoughts on Iron Shipwrights Royal Sovereign? Rather pricey.

You might consider contacting Jon at Iron Shipwright and ask if he's upgrading that kit with new printed parts (much superior to the original resin bits and pieces). The parts that came with the Florida dreadnought are top notch.

From experience I can tell you the solid hulls are fairly heavy, just about doorstop appropriate, which takes some getting used to during building and planning for a stable display base mounting.
