Hello all new to this forum.
I am building a billings Bankert rc tugboat and am wondering what other boat builders are using for ballast in there models.

Re: Ballast
Whatever works for you!
Fishing weights,
Lead shot.
Lead roof sheets
Rocks
Bricks,
Diver weight belts
Nails,
Extra batteries
Water tanks/jugs
Nuts and bolts
On larger boats I melt lead into ingots for easy positioning using a simple 2x4 mold.
A friend gets lead shot diver weights made, looks like bean bags.

Re: Ballast
One pound lead ingots, set (and removable) below the tank deck on a Vietnam era 'Tango" boat model. Doing it this way permits easy distribution of the weight to not only ballast, but level out the hull.
