Calling all Barracuda-class (SS-163) fans

Post by GaryM »

I am looking for a set of detailed plans suitable to build a 1/96 scale static model, can anyone help? I have plenty of photographs but need an accurate plan layout.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for your reply, I will try them, as most of the plans I have seen to date are not very good quality.

Thanks Again.

Depending on where you live, you can go in yourself. Or you can tell them what you are looking for and have them scan a high resolution copy of it, burn it to a CD and mail it to you (for a fee of course). You want to try the Cartography section at the NARA College Park, MD. Commonly referred to as Archive II.

Trying the Taubman plans to see if they are of a reasonable standard.

Hi,
I'm interested in V-1 class submarine too. Anyone could help me with the plans? Thank you! I'm looking for PDF plans as I'm in Europe and shipping from the US(I found that the V-1 class submarine plans are from the US) too much time and it will be easy to get lost.

There are some high-res scans of the original plans on the NARA website:
