Re: Calling all LCS 1 Freedom class fans
There may be unofficial paths to the plans but I suspect it's a combination of who you know and right place at the right time.

If you're desperate enough, you could use the Bronco/Cyber-Hobby 1/350 kit to get some lines off of. It's more accurate than the Trumpeter version.ligamin wrote:Hi guys, do you have an idea where I could get a building plans please? Some tips?

I did ask friend of mine, he found some 3d model and imported it (somehow) to Delftship. Voila! Some general hull plan with ribs exists now....
Anyway, thanks for your patience with me....

Now THAT is an idea ... the USN should paint the LCS in Carnival, Disney, or other Cruise Ship colors and dress sailors like tourists.
That would be a great morale booster ...

Did one of the Freedom class already got an armament upgrade? NSM?
The latest ships have a different mast, see e.g. here:

https://www.seaforces.org/usnships/lcs/ ... inette.htm
Combined with NSM that might be worth to built a second model.

There's a lot more than that. On a brief look, there are differences in the vents, the raft canisters have changed position, all the details on the front of the superstructure have changed including recessing the door, the shape of the recess for the RHIB is larger, and the slope in the deck on either side of the exhausts is shallower. I'm sure I'm missing a lot too.maxim wrote: The latest ships have a different mast, see e.g. here:
