The French Muse National de la Marine or National Maritime Museum have some photos online of their collection. Including their models of Richelieu and Jean Bart. Might be useful references for someone?

Richelieu here:

Jean Bart here:

I was lucky enough to see them 'in the flesh' in Paris a few years ago. Lovely models.

As has been mentioned here before I'm sure, Richelieu and Jean Bart went on exercise together only once in their careers, in January 1956. There are photos of this rare event in some of the books on the class.

However it seems the event was also filmed. Look what I found on the French Ministry of Defence Images website:

No commentary or anything, but the 17 minute long clip contains some lovely aerial and onboard footage of both Richelieu and Jean Bart.

Hello. I'm building Richelieu and I'm looking for news and pictures or drawings of life rafts. Illustrative photo at the link.

It is blurry and you cannot see much of it, and I would like something more precise.
Please help.

I am interested in the period 1944-45. It reminds me more of Navy Balsa Life Float / Raft
But from what I can see it's probably some French invention. For the fact that I have seen such in Strasbourg

"Radeaux de Brest" perhaps?

L'Arsenal do them in 1/350 Scale in resin and PE:

And in 1/400 scale as 3D prints:

About Richelieu's 1945 camouflage (G45 hull with B20 panel, G45 superstructure with G10 turrets and funnel), while with the British Pacific Fleet, is it known what color her turret tops were?

The turret tops of both the 15" and 6" turrets were painted G10 as well.
