196:
Not sure if you are still interested but I do have 1:96 40 quad file with shield which I used on my 1;120 ARL 12 (see scratch builds). Also various models of the 20 mm Orlikon which I am willing to license for a specified number of models. hank Strub and also have various 5" twin mounts, MK 37 and 38 directors and whatnot.

Thank you for the response. I have had my brother print off the ones I needed. Thank you again.

Hello. Do we know whether or not the Iowas received the Mk.8 mod 3 radar atop their Mk.38 gun directors? It seems that the Mk.8 mod 3 shares the same tear drop dome as the Mk. 13 radar.

All four ships got teardrop-shaped radars for their Mk. 38 directors, if that's what your asking. New Jersey was the early adopter, getting a new antenna for her forward director as part of her June 1945 refit (although she kept the original radar aft until circa 1954). Iowa got new radars for both directors in 1946, and it looks like Missouri and Wisconsin each had them installed sometime in 1947.KotoBuilds wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 6:43 pm Hello. If, on the other hand, you're asking whether the teardrop-shaped radars were Mk. 8 Mod 3's or Mk. 13's, that I can't tell you.

FYI -
The IOWA class BB's (as well as the NC & SD Class BB's) all started out with Mk. 8 RADAR antennas as commissioned. As the war progressed, they all received the newer Mk. 13 RADAR at various yard periods/times. Here are the two antennas which show the difference:
Mk. 8 - Mk. 13 - Hope this helps!
