How many crew?

Having no navy experiance and getting started on a 1/350 big E, how many figs would really be seen ship wide with fifty planes or so on deck. Including lower visable decks and sponsons?

hmm.. 50 planes? A few hundred.

Varies dependent upon the ships activity level.
Lots on deck for flight evolutions.
More on deck for port cerimonies (ie: lining the rails)
May need to be more specific as to what you wish to achieve.
