New book on French aircraft carriers

Post by bgire »

Marines Editions of France just published a great book by Jean Moulin on the two postwar French carriers Foch and Clemenceau.

The book is littered with pictures (some rare), plans, sketches and scale profiles. Both carriers are described in depth with their numerous modifications (radar fit, equipment, planes, even deck markings). Many unpublished data.

At the end of it you can find a two page listing of every French carrier projects from the early twenties to the nuclear Charles de Gaulle. Each with data and a small scale profile.
