I think this thread seems to be losing its way. Page 1 is out of date. Example – flyhawk have already released HMS formidable (in 2023) and HMS Achilles (in 2024)!

Agree, I mentioned it above then went back to the list and noticed several more 1/350 kits missing.
Who is in a position to update the list?

Hey, the new 1/350 scale FLETCHER kits from iLove arrived at my house from Squadron (pre-ordered) today. Squadron made no announcement online that these kits had arrived.

They look much like the USS STEVENS kit in basic hull and bridge details. The aft deckhouses are different from STEVENS as to be expected.

This kit has the over scaled "armor-belt" on the full hull only option, like seen on the STEVENS kit. I'm going to use now surplus Trumpeter waterline hulls, which the iLove decks fit with little trim at the fantail, on my builds.

Pre-orders of the USS Langley (CV-1) in 1/700 scale. The site indicates that the tentative release month is this coming November.

Does anyone know of any US retailers also offering pre-orders?

I notice that the font page doesn't list any of the iLove 1/350 scale FLETCHER kits,

USS STEVENS (DD-476) and USS FLETCHER (DD-445) have ben released and available.

I saw a notice on the HLJ website* that the 1/350 scale THE SULLIVANS (DD-537) in WWII configuration (Anti-Kamikaze configuration and MAYBE the five twin 40-mm mounts configuration in one box was mentioned, but parts layout doesn't confirm this) was released at the end of August 2026. Some retail sources estimate availability in October 2026.

Is the Very Fire really 1/700? When I had a discussion with them in June, I asked whether they plan to release her in 1/700 in addition to their new 1/350. They confirmed it but without any outlook yet.

Looking at some of the listings the 350 PE fret is slightly different from the 700 PE fret, so I would asumme there actually is a 700 kit. There are also a few other differences like the 700 Bofors being printed as one part.

It's also being sold by VF's official Taobao FWIW.

Hi All,

First off this isnt really a complaint, just a sad reaction on observation of a set of pics.

The 1/200 Trumpeter Tirpitz is finally due for release, I hope, and the Trumpeter website has images to view of the kit.

From the images Im guessing from the shape its the Bismarck hull, so the bow will need a modification, I expected that, but the SK heavy AA guns are as per Bismarck with earlier style forward mounts and late style after ones, am I right Tirpitz had all later style mounts?

The cranes are mounted where the guns should be and vice versa which hopefully is an image shot error and not in the kit instructions (although the colour callouts seem to be the same) and the cradles and boats that should be situated over the mid 5.9 turret mounts dont seem to be there?

Apart from the 20mm quad mount being on Caeser turret not Bruno, hopefully another image error, most bits look ok, I think although the main mast might need work.

Again no complaint, just observations, we are modellers and we make our models the way we like them, mods and all, but these are fundemental errors, which makes me a bit sad.

Yes trumpeter STILL has it wrong (it’s wrong on their 1/700 kits also). Dragon was not any better. But at least Flyhawk got it right. And Aoshima got it right 40 some years ago.

Link to Tirpitz to make it easier. At least the AA gun on B turret is in the correct location on the painting guide, but not the cranes.

Sounds like the "B" team was hard at it. I'm used to it with their 1/32 planes.
