Russian online bookshops?

Post by linux »

Hello,

Can anybody recommend a Russian online bookshop that accepts credit card payments and ships internationally? There are some current Russian publications about warships that I would like to buy, but I haven't been able to locate any copies for sale outside Russia.

Thank you.

Hi Linux
It depends what you are looking for. Lots of stuff you can download online (for free :lol_3: )
Could you post you list and probably I can point you to some stores.

P.S.Never ever use armybook.com-they are tiffs

Hi Ramzay,

Yes, I'm aware of Links to this site not allowed due to copyright violations.

I would like to buy some of the titles I found there in order to obtain better quality photographs and plans. For example the Боевые корабли мира (Fighting ships of the world) series contains some interesting titles.

Hi Linux :wave_1:
Here are couple links:

http://www.collectrussia.com/showcat.htm?cat=NavalBooks
http://www.kniga.com/books/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=9
http://www.ozon.ru/context/catalog/id/1071160/

I used all of them. First two are pretty quick :thumbs_up_1: but third is slow (I wait about 5 months).

Sincerely
Ramzay

Hi Ramzay,

Thank you very much for those. The first two didn't offer a wide range of titles, presumably because since they're based in the US they carry limited stock. However the third one, ozon.ru, had a much more extensive and interesting catalogue. I'm in no particular hurry so may well give them a try.

Thanks again.

Hi peppe,

You have provided another interesting Russian site. However I am reluctant to use Western Union in cases where the recipient is unknown to me. Therefore I need somewhere that will accept credit card payments.

Thanks again.

Hi Linux

try my chum sergey Myagkov here:
http://siriusm.homestead.com/index.html

I have bought many many books from him

downside is westren union money transfer..--but I have had no problems for the last 5 years

Try him with a cheapish book-see how you get on!

I have also succesfully bought from here in poland--good prices-alas limited choice...
