Dullcote over WEM paints - good idea or bad?

This subject has been touched on in the main forum, but I didn't glean an answer to one particular question:

Will Testors Dullcote work over WEM ColourCoats paints, or it will react with them in an unfavorable way?

Dullcote is my standard sealer/flattener of choice, but having gone to the trouble to work with WEM paints, I sure don't want to spray anything on them that's going to cause them to crack or otherwise deteriorate.

If Dullcote is a bad idea - should I use Future mixed with a little Tamiya flat, as an acrylic alternative?

I haven't had any trouble with Testor flat dullcote in the spray can over Colorcoats. I've only done a few models in the past couple years, so maybe someone else with more long term experience might have had different results.

The problem you are thinking of is probably one with Humbrol aerosol matt over colourcoats. I couldn't say with Testors as I have never used it. My advice would be to paint a scrap model or similar then try the testors, leave it a few hours though.

I've dullcoated over colorcoats on many occassionas, but I use PollyScale acrylic flat. Never had an issue, to date (he says, knocking on wood...)

WEM paints are enamel and Testor's Dullcoat is lacquer (unless this has changed recently). You should have no problems IF you put the Dullcoat on in thin coats. You'll want to use an airbrush to make sure the first few coats are misted on. You might be able to get away with a rattlecan application, but be careful. Under NO circumstances should you apply it with a brush.
