What version of Solidworks do you use? I'm using 2006 and have some questions you might be able to answer.
Maybe you could share some drawings with me? How about sending over a hull drawing of your choice and lets see if we can do some CNC programing in MasterCAM. If you do please keep it simple. It doesn't have to be pretty, just accurate. Just send a 3D hull to me.
I just paid in full for my mill so I can finally do some hull mach ups........just have to pick it up now.
I am not a great specialist of SLW. I do'nt know how to make a nice design for a hull with complex curves.
The hull is made with a succession of rectangles with various chamfers

You can see just the max what I can do.

Jef,
You made some nice drawings. If you want rounded corners try using filet instead of chamfer. For a complex convex curve I've found that using "Loft with guide curve," works best. This can be done by drawing out each rib and connecting the outside upper corner using spline on the top plane. Now select loft and use the above mentioned splines for the guide curves and pick out atleast four ribs. Click OK and it does wanders.
I'm not sure if your version works that way though.
I'm with Tommy on the Loft. It will move you to the next level. I have been doing mine in AutoCAD, but recently installed a 30 day trial version of Solidworks 7 Premier and let just say, I prefer AutoCAD. I am going to demo Inventor next and see it it is to my liking.
