Battle of Coronel - plans of involved ships?
Hello,
Is there anybody who knows if there is any publisher that publishes or sells plans of german or british ships which were involved in battle of Coronel on 1. november 1914 near the coast of Chile?
I'am looking for plans of german armored cruiser SMS Scharnhorst or light cruiser SMS Dresden... I'am also interested in british armored cruisers HMS Good Hope or HMS Monmouth but so far I havent seen any avaible plans on the internet...
So... is there anybody who has any information concerning ships mentioned above...?

Yes there are plans, at least for some of the german ships.
http://www.mz-modellbaushop.de/start.ph ... uzer_2.php
MZ-Modellbau has also Kits for SMS Scharnhorst/Gneisenau and SMS Emden/Dresden
I have already seen the hull and parts for SMS Nrnberg and also Leipzig, but only occationally on ebay Germany.
One of the best plans is from P.G. Huff: SMS Emden, but it is hard to get. This is the most detailed I've ever seen.
You can get it along with his excellent book (many unknown photos and the plans)
http://www.amazon.de/S-M-S-Emden-Schick ... 885&sr=8-1
Or the revised plan assortment. (sorry, I don't know where).
About the english ships I have no idea, maybe the Public Record Office?
At least some photos are shown here:

Hope, it helped...

http://www.myhobbystore.com is now "on-line" and apparently working. Lots of the old warship plans listed.

I have the plans for Kent. They are drawn to make a working 1:96 scale model and seem fairly detailed. I have seen models built from them and they look pretty impressive. They are not NMM-detailed plans, however, but neither are they as expensive!
If you are interested, PM me with your email address and I will scan in and send a bit of detail so you can judge for yourself.

Re: Battle of Coronel - plans of involved ships?
I have a couple cool pictures of the SMS Scharnhorst, but no plans or scanner to upload it. Sorry, its a great looking ship though. I hope you build it to show everyone just how nice the ship really looks.Schnellboot wrote:Hello,
