German ships in Brest ( France )

Post by Antonio Bonomi »

Hi everybody,

I am looking for every possible photo of German warships while in Brest ( France ).

I mean photos of Scharnhorst, Gneisenau, Prinz Eugen and Admiral Hipper , .. either into the drydock's or into the harbour itself,..close or from far away,.. aerial too, .... I have a lot,..but I can always find something new

I think I am going to know soon better this harbour ... than my home now....

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,..

Ciao Antonio :D

The French book publishers MARINE EDITION have one book devoted to the subject of the German Navy in French occupied ports during WWII. Their web site has it listed. I understand it is mostly a collection of photos in the hundreds. So this book must have a number of photos you are looking for. A Google search will bring you to their web site. Good luck! I have this book on my list of must buy books, when I scrape up the money. They are not cheap.
