turret replacement kit

i just pre ordered the trumpeter Massachusetts 1/350. and im wondering, in case, (for details sake) if useing the north carolina turret replacement kit from yankee model works would work. seeing as they had same guns.

i plan on wating to see the actual kit before i make a decsion but i'd also like advice from experts. if the case is the turrets are good i do know i'd like to get brass barrels to replace the stock kit barrels. so i'd like to ask where i could aquire some for the main battary. ive looked around and cant seem to find any. thank you in advance.
