Whoa! I'm not reading this right am I? You are packing in the scratchbuilding threads on the site because of some extremely small minded morons make their peurile comments? As has been said, those kind of feeble minded comments from that type of idiot proves that they are only jealous of your skills and ability to use your hands and BRAIN to produce a large, damn good, sailing model of a warship.
Take no notice and treat them with the contempt they deserve. Carry on with your instructive, concise and clear builds.
I came to your post to check on new pictures and this is what I found, from what Ive read the guys have said it all. I just want to remind you that every time you scratch- build a ship at the end of the day is piece of art, not many have this gift you have in making this possible. Dont forget, looking at a ship completely built is cool but, watching the process of how the ship was built is even cooler.
Well Mr Ron shortly before I retired I found this site and followed one of your builds. After I retired I decided to use your post as a guide and attempted my 1st scratch build following your instructions step by step. Since then I have followed each of your threads closely and am always amazed at your skill.
I'm proud to say because of you my grandson and I have built 1 carrier (1/96 scale) and 3 1/48 scale destroyers. So professor lets not let all of your devoted students down from all over the world.
Up spirits and lets get on with the next lesson ( you wouldn't want to disappoint my grandson would you)
Well Cwm I have been keeping my eye,s open to see where you had got to, I am very glad that you have managed to build something from the threads on my building, I would never let anyone down if I could help it.
There are a few people around that want to show the Admiral up for some reason or another, I have kept my head down for over six weeks now, I have not been idle, my new project is well on its way, fibre glass hull nearly complete, so keep on looking, one day soon there may be a new build. Thanks for your post, its most welcome. ARH

Dave:
dont you agree that if Ron is putting Moffett underway, to sail in a pond, the paint for the ship may have been suffering with rough? Maybe some wrong maneuver broke its bow............
For this, the ship can be different the way looked some months ago......... and Ron could post some pics to update for its new appearence............ even the fixing methods............. thats what Im thinking.........but if the disaster drove the ship to scrap , so fare that he can build another one.............
Nice regards: Jimmy
Ron and Dave, superb photo of "Moffett", seems to be the real ship..... I'm going to convert it in B&W..... about disaster, that was just a joke, to tease you about "news".... got it as a photo.............Ron could do a "book" for Moffett and post pics in the MW gallery.........
Thank you both: Jimmy
