I see in the Manufacturers section that WEM has PE just about ready for the Trumpeter 1/350 Slava class...as in they are already taking pre-orders and expect to ship within a few weeks. Udaloy PE "to follow shortly." :woo_hoo:
On the workbench:
I Love Kit 1/72 OSA-I

Recently completed:
Das Werk 1/16 Panzer III Ausf. J (early)
Trumpeter 1/35 SA-8 Gecko
Trumpeter 1/350 Moskva (Slava-class)

I'm looking for some pick of the aft sonar/boat well and helicopter netting on the Moskva/Leningrad. I'm building the Airix kit with WEM's PE set and I'm trying to figure out where to put the spool for the sonar cable and where to put the helo netting, the instructions are kind of vague.

There are some good pics over at the Russian Navsource site; especially the stern of the Leningrad.

It sure is a nice Nanuchka! Looks like dead on really! Only the liferafts aren't in the place they should be, although i don't know whether they didn't place them there in the past. Nowadays they carry them in a different spot for sure.
I can only find a few minor mistakes, but I think I'm about the only one that will see them due to my research for my own 1/700 versions of this craft.

Could you make pictures of the internal R/C lay-out? Always interested in such matters!

Hi Mick Great pictures, your dad is very talented and his build of the Novorrossiysk has help me get to grips with the Kiev build .
All the best to your dad

The Present Kits Avaliable for the Ukrainian Navy

Post by space_moose »

These are the classes of ships that you can make so far for the Ukrainian Navy and including some impressive pieces of military hardware. With the Trumpeter 1/350 Moskva kit you can make the VMSU Ukrania, with the Mirage 1/400 Tarantul II and Tarantul III kits you can make the VMSU Nikopol and the VMSU Kemenchuck, with the Skywave Kirivak II kit you can make the Sevastopol, finally of course there is a 1/700 VMSU Ukrania Kit from Trumpeter and a 1/400 VMSU Grigory Kuropatnikov kit Mirage Hobby. Looking foreward to a larger scale full hull Krivak II or III.

Kit Box Tops Below:

I dunno who deleted it, but I restored what I could. I don't seem to have the Ukraina images, though. You can reload them, however. (Please!)

We have had some malicious acts on that server in the past....

There's always the possibility of some newbie accidentally deleted one of our folders since actions don't require a pw to confirm.

Hello,
I'm a new fan of soviet and russian warships, and I've began to build the Trumpeter Moskva at 1/700 this week-end. I'll post photos of this build soon.
I've also ordered the Kiev and the Petr Veliky from Trumpeter, both at 1/700.
Bye,
Aymeric

The dark brown part is correct, but you painted too many decks red.

The roof of the hangar and part of the roof of the bridge are light grey. The instructions by Trumpeter are wrong. You can find many photos of the Moskwa here:
