Oh my, You know your making it hard for me you know. After all if you can do this at scale 1/144 I have to do it at least similar with my 1/72 Kuznetsov you know...
First I better build the hull before I have a nightmare on the superstructure.

I was going to build the Gorshkov first but I thought I'd build the less demanding of the two designs. But as I've said before it was your dads build of the superstructure that demonstrated to me how to get over some of the problems on the Kiev , that I am very thankfull for.

Well another up date. It amperes the more I go into the
pictures the more I glean but also appreciate the huge
differences between each ship of the class, particularly
on how their electronic fit is displayed.
In this photo sequence the "Top Knot� dome is toped
by an array and temporally set in place. I say temporarily
because as this part of the lattice mast will be required to
be painted separately.

Folding the fine copper wire to make the D/F loop

Soldering up one of a number of areial arrays using the
same method for each one.

Each side of the lattice mast are mounted "Bell Clout" ECM arrays which are made up from plastic and aluminum tube shaped to suit.

Several of the arrays that are attached to the mast have a
very small "sail" These are soldered together insitu were
the sail extends the length of the array.

The nearly completed lattice mast in place.

Just to let people know that Dave's machine Kick the bucket, Bit the Dust, snuff'd it, Spake the grisly Terror, Reached the finish line, Ended it all, in other words it's dead.

He is though, buying a laptop with an 800GB HD, wow can't wait to see that!!!

Normal service will, apprently, resume over the weekend.
