You know boy, if ya used duct tape instead of that black stuff ya wouldn't even have to paint it. Duct tape is silver. Hell, I'd do the whole boat in duct tape. :lol_pound: :lol_pound: :lol_pound: :woo_hoo:

Great work! I do have a couple of questions though. On the walkways where there is only the ply thickness exposed and you have already plated the top, how will you finish the ply edge? Also will you plate or just paint the undersides of the walkways and exposed surfaces? Greg W

Hi Greg, It will have an edging plate and a piece undernieth in time, also a combing round the stairwell.
Simple but effective.

Hi Guys, I have cut some more litho plates, the first one is for the recess in the side superstructure

The second for the section under the 5 inch 51.

Both glued in place.

The ladder recess and the side cassing plates glued in position, the bandstand is only resting on the deck, glued in place later.

2 Plates cut ready for next lift.

Glued in place, and 2 more cut for second level side structure.

Both plates fitted and deck and bandstand glued down , and weighted with 2 batteries.

Your model is definitely taking shape! One question - how did you mould the tread/plating pattern on the litho plate for the decks?

Hi Ron, Inspiring work to say the least. Do you seal the wood before attaching the plate or does the combination of glue, plate and paint seal it well enough? Keep up the good work.Greg

Hi Greg, No I dont seal the wood, the contact adhesive is a very good seal, the edges will be painted down the side of the waterways. :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Hi Guys , This is the next level , the main bridge, cut out from 1/16th ply wood, glued together with PVA white glue.
