Cronin book--Mighty useful forany RN builders

Post by JIM BAUMANN »

Hi guys

I have just bought--at a bargain price from e-bay UK-- a buy-it-now offer of 25.00 the excelently informative book

Royal Navy Shipboard Aircraft developments 1912-1931
by Dick Cronin

apart from the excellent coverage of all thing aviation RN--the on-deck photos provide a wealth of detail in the backgrounds--so many unusual deck photos--I have already sorted a number of mysteries--and I have only just leafed thru it

Highly Recommended

JIM B

there are some on abe-books...

Looks most interesting, Jim. Do you know if there is an edition similar but from 1931 ownwards? Been trying to find proper material for the Fairey Seafox but haven't got much success so far...only a dozen photos and some diagrams...nothing special. Sadly not many of those planes were made and none exists today as far as I can tell.

Thank you Jim, having just purchased the Heller Illustrious I have taken your recommendation and bought one myself, hoping against hope that more RN CV's will come out.

It's on sale at Amazon UK for just 13.99:

According to the publisher's website (here) it's still in print, so there is a chance that Amazon will be able to supply it.
