Last news :
Jean is simultaneously building his stuff and has started designing another PE set to fully equip the inclined slip shown on the East side of the diorama. I'll do the structure in resin.
He should issue very soon (Jean usually computer-draws faster than his own shadow) all the slip equipment (rails, scaffoldings, additional buildings, even the floating gate), so the slip will host two subs, as shown on many NavSource photos.

Jean wants to design and draw all the stuff for a christening-launching ceremony down to the detail... including the music band

Don't be afraid : he didn't tell me about the Champagne bottle
... yet.
On NavSource pictures, he only can see one trumpet/ bugle player and NO band for most of the ceremonies, so his question is : what was the real number of players usually invited at a sub launching ceremony ? Any idea from our USN fans ?
... this is going crazy... but soooo much exciting !

Once again Bruno--I have to add that I find all this VERY impressive.

The level of detail is high-- and it all looks very very sharp.

Macro lenses and big PC monitors are very brutal judges(!!)--but this TINY stuff stands up well under such cruel scrutiny!!

EXCELLENT--looking forward to seeing you and Jean winning some prizes at Telford...! ( this year...?)..!!

Hi there! This is the first time I look at your diorama and I am absolutely astounded and delighted!! The small scale, the intricate pieces of equipment, the minutely detailed structures and vehicles, all of these are really amazing. In addition, they are so well assembled and crisply painted. This is truly an example of "the whole project is more than the sum of its parts". My hat off to you!!!

Jean and Bruno,

To say I am speechless would be to lie... why... my wife could hear me howling all the way upstairs. I laughed because she looks at some of my 1/350 stuff, for example, and thinks I'm nuts!

This is truly inspirational and not just a little intimidating. None the less I would "damn the torpedoes" and sign up to purchase your beautiful work along with many many other folks here! Gentlemen I implore you to make this unique and sorely needed material available to us mere mortals!

My wife just looked at me and rolled her eyes... "How much will this cost?"

Truly magnificent!!

These seem to boost Jean higher and faster. Here is his week-end's work : another crane barge (this time the YD98)

I must confess that despite I helped designing the master, I made the PE, I started to build my own... I feel astonished too by Jean's skills.
