Sorry for the delay about your request for the plans I am using for the USS ORLECK (Fletcher class conversion).
The original Fletcher model was constructed from MaCandliss (SP) plans (4 sheets) in 1/96th scale (included hull lines, outboard profile, plan-view, and details sheet). For the Gearing conversion, I used enlarged outboard-profile and plan-views from the TIN CAN SAILORS press book on the U.S.S. Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. I purchased the book at the musemu when I visited the ship at Fall River, Massachusetts. They have an internet site and do mail order. I also relied on analyzing photos from NAVSOURCE.ORG, and many of the links there to various ship-sites. I think The Floating Drydock has Gearing FRAM plans, too.

How are you doing? Thanks for answering....... I tried some search for the book on the Tin Can, but didn�t find.The author is Robert Sumrall? I read about the book at other places in the web, but would like to ask you if it has good plans ( review!!!

I�m able to build the hull right now, but need plans to build everything over the main deck ........ what I mean is if the book has good plans, good side views....... my intentions are to build at 1/150..... Some plans I have are on the book Sumner-Gearing of Sumrall, and it brings just an outboard profile and overview for USS Henderson,FRAM Mk 1, but I don�t think it�s enough to base the building....... I told that I have photos for the mast of a �Gearing�, Framed, sorry for the delay too to post them here.................... let�s go talking....... I�m still following the building of your �Orleck� and that is nice.....thanks for sharing.............
