scratch building a 1:200 scale Bismarck or Tirpitz
I should have posted this here first and not the Main forum so sorry to all those that read this twice. Just a question on scratch building a 1:200 scale Bismarck or Tirpitz. Well a few questions really. For a start I want to make it RC so what I really need is some plans on how to make the hull and super structure. Where can I find these or has some one got some? Also in this scale would any one know if there were PE sets that are available? Just an Idea I have had kicking round for some time and would love to see it come to life over the next few years.

Hi; You should be able to get your p.e. from EDUARD or G.M.M.and TOM,S .They all have some 1/200 stuff but be specific as they don,t seem to have that much. I have gotten stairs ladders and rails. Some of the other stuff I had to fudge from 1/160 model railroad p.e. I got a nice paper model of the TIRPITZ from a firm in POLAND. I don,t know if it,s still in their catalogue.I do know if you can find one, after you skin the hull you can remove some of the interiors of the frames to r.c. it. Just be careful o.k.? commodore4
