Looking for opinions on two Kaiserlichen Marine books...

Hi,

I am looking for opinions on those two book. Are they good? Do they come with good photographs and drawings? BTW I could read some German. Language is not a big issue for me. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have them both. Without the ability to read German, these books are not of much value for design history. I purchased them for the illustrations, photos and plans. While there are some nice photos, there are not enough of them to call these photo histories of the ships. Many are poor quality and not well reproduced. Still, they are of some value, between 10-12 photos per ship class. Some not often seen, but many are in other publications. The drawings and plans are very small and basic. Not more than an outline of the ships. At the back are 3 sheets of plans with better size and external detail. Might be of help to a model builder.
It's hard to say whether they are worth it for you. German WWI warships are my favorite subject, I'll buy anything I can get about them. These books are worth it for me. There is so little in English and in depth of detail about these ships. You have to take what you can get I expect.
