USN moves robo-copter to umm, different ship.

The Johnny-on-the-spot management of the USN has noticed that the LCS trials ships for the "Fire Scout" robo-helicopter has become a gigantic, smelly hunk of rotting sea food. Therefore, they announced today that the "Fire Scout" will be trialed on a different type of ship (read Burke Flight 2).

"Fire Scout" is much more than the Air Farce's "Predator" , in that there are several less people in the flying loop - i.e., precisely zero, zed, nada. It is a true robot (in Pentagon speak, "Class IV"), and a real march on the pilotless aircraft flying to date. It also presages the USN's pilotless robot UCAV fighterplane due in a decade.

Can't wait for the good ideas to keep coming. All they need now is to can the DDG-1000 program and order it's equivalent in CVNs and I'll be as happy as a pig on Kenny's farm.

Ship: "Attack submerged target Sierra-three-five"

Helicopter: "By your command"
If an unfriendly power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war.

I ate all the pigs on my farm!
It's not who you are, but what you do that defines you.

Strike that. insert "slightly more " before "happy"

Seriously, I hope they give it Schwarzenegger's voice.

They'll probably give it R2D2's voice. *Whistle* *beep*

Oh yeah. Werner is right. It must have the old-school Cylon voice.
