Got Northampton with 8" N triples, finally ^^ Too bad they have the same range as 5"/54L =/

The Ls make NH a lot better, especially since it can actually use them now. *thanks the mods for the gunspace buff* With the mk13Ls, you will have same range as most New Orleans and Portlands, and you will have same range as some of the noobier Baltimores. I went through the NH, half during beta half after retail. During beta, pre-gunspace buff, it was a nightmare. After the gunspace buff, it was useable. I was very, very happy. :jump_1:

I've started playing, and now:

level 8, FF named Stormram. My name is Dikkie, and most of the time I play in field 7 or 12.

And why can I buy a FF.02 on level 3, when it needs a BO which I'll get at level 12?!
Greetings, Dikkie

FF.02 does not require a nationalized BO. Just use one of your current sailors on it.

BO: lvl 61

Gunners(2): lvl 59

2nd Set of Gunners(2): lvl 47ish

1rst Repair Men(2): lvl 58

Scout Pilot: lvl 54

Ship: Guam, triple 12L's

Range leaves a little to be desired, Spread sucks, I'm so poor right now I can only add a little armour every few games. When I can get my shells to hit.........priceless.

Leave armour off, would be most USN players' suggestion. You can't hold enough armour to bounce anything, and speed is your most important asset. And make sure to use AA, as that is crucial for survival. Congrats on getting that far!

Edit: And get some restorers. SD is absolutely critical to ensuring the survival of your ship. It's like a shield that can repair itself.

Edit2: Speed's more important than SD; go for more engineers and repairers; SD eventually caps anyway.

USN:

Gearing

KM:

Deutschland
Koiengsberg
O-Project - Level 78

RN:

(Nothing but I can get a County if I wanted)

IJN

(Nothing but I can get a Fubuki)

------------------

Armour in Navyfield is like the old AD&D THAC0 System; you hit or not. No inbetweens. Where in this case, it is "You get hit at full strength or Bounce Shells". So if you can't wear Full Plate Mail with a Tower Shield, don't even bother with armour.

Hey all, glad I found this site, it is a great resource for ship modelers! Since I also play NF, I guess I will revive this thread with my current game stats:

Missouri server

US - Level 77 (Sodak)
Level 65 (Penn 30)

KM - Level 68 (Gniesenau)

IJN - Level 46 (Kuma-Kai)

UK - Level 40 (Edinburgh)

Glad to see other NF players here!

Still at it ... Hard to believe how addicting this game has been for me...

With this last NF party I've brought my fleet up to the following:

USN BB Sodak, but gunners are 3 lvls shy of the proper guns
BB Nevada, was hoping to get to North Carolina but I doubt I'll keep digging now I have Sodak
CV Yorktown, BO is lvl 72 at the moment

HMS BB Nelson ... OMG How much fun!!
BC HOOD
BB Revenge
CV crew in the making 5 lvls shy of Colossus

IJN BB crew in the making, nothing in port yet...
So many models... So little time...

I only play on NY, and here's my list...

DKM

Deutschland, Bayern, Moltke. BO 50, second BO 47, aiming for Seydlitz with him.

IJN

Agano, Dhonburi, Asama. BO 33, holding on switching to Oyodo so I have a ship I can Blitz with, and so I can work my crew up. Intending to take BO for Oyodo, Mogami, Ise, armed Air Superiority CV plan.
Die Panzerschiffe - Putting the Heavy in Heavy Cruiser since 1940.

It's not Overkill, it's Insurance.
