Of course as soon as I finish it, DML will issue a 1/700 CVN-65, but I'm willing to take that chance. I would be casting these myself unless I get overwhelming demand and have to find someone to cast them for me. An endevour that hasn't been too sucessful so far.

You would have to add your own hatches and railings. Decals? Maybe.

Let me know your opinions as to produce this set or not. It would take away from decals for a while, but with the masters and molds already done, it shouldn't be too long.

For you...

I have to charge you twice as much! :heh:

I don't know what I would charge yet. I need to see if anyone besides myself actually wants some. I doubt it would be more than the retail price of the kit. :cool_2:

I guess you will just have to build one of the other versions next. :cool_2:

Looks like I will have to produce a few sets. I am waiting for some information to improve it a bit. That's the nice thing about these forums. Full of folks willing to help out.

Stay tuned....

Hiya Mark,
Looks great and yes i will have some please, also a CVN-65 Island would be nice, and hangar decks for all those 1/720 Forrestal and Kitty Hawk/America kits, i would be tempted to build earlier versions if i didnt need to scratch hangars.

Happy Modeling

Amen to that - I second John's request for 1/720 hangars for those Italeri kits.

Count me in! While I'm at it, how about a:
- Updated Island Superstructure for a post-refit CVN65
- Updated weapons, sponsons and comms gear (especially those mushroom-like domes)
- Any other hull extensions or details particular to the post-refit ENTERPRISE
Please....please?

One thing at a time!

Thanks for all your suggestions. But first things first. Looks like this might be worth my while to persue.

As for the other requests, an Island might be a possibility, but not likely. I'd rather stick with the basic kit and make it better. You just know if I finish a conversion set, DML or Trumpy/Pit Road will issue one.

Italeri Hanger deck. Photos folks. I need photos and lots of them.

I'll also need to find a resin caster that can give me a quick turn-around. Making the masters is fun. Casting the resin is not. I don't have the room, skills, or the equipment nessasary to develop the line. If I had a caster, that would encourage me to build more masters, and cast what I already have finished. You would be suprised what I am sitting on at the moment for you fellow carrier builders :cool_2:

I'm interested in a correction kit for the Revell 1/720 Enterprise. Even if I have to buy 100 to make the production.

Would these work on the ARii 1/800 Forrestal class CVAs? I'd be intereested in these myself!

I doubt it would fit. It's kit specific for the Revell CVN-65 kit. It "might" work in the Italeri kits, and I'll check it out when I get some from the caster hopefully in about 6-8 weeks. My schedule is very busy leading up to the Va Beach Nats trying to get new decals & Resin parts ready for release by then. But I will work on a set to fit the Italeri CVNs & Forrestal kits after the Nats shooting for a 2009 release. Maybe even for the Fujimi Kitty/Connie kits as well. Just need good photos of the hanger bays.
