As a few know I'm a machinist by trade so any machine tool gets my interest very easily, well while searching for working 1/4 V8 plans I came across these little works of art:


This little gem is 1/14 scale. Some of you might ask,"Does it work?" Yes it does. According to the site that this is posted on this is the worlds smallest Bridgeport Series 1. Site: http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Jordan.htm

The site goes more into detail than I will here. I'm going to keep this short and simple so I don't feel like a plagiarist. Seeing this just gets me all exited and ready to do some work again. If you haven't noticed my signature at the bottom of my posts I am working on a 9" x 42" table MillportCNC Knee Mill (full sized real thing). I hope to have this up and running in a few weeks. Thats why I've been so rare around the forum as of late. Maybe 2 years of saving every penny will pay off soon.............maybe.

I found a free set of detailed plans for the Amsbury V8 so I'm rendering everything up in CAD now.

Simply unbelievable. I like almost nything to scale, and those mills are incredible, as are the engines.

Monday the rest of my parts for the mill should arrive. I have a test program made for roughing out a bow section. So actually I'm almost finished.

Ive already thought about ways to produce one myself. Its just a matter of work holding and programming. Before I start that I promised to do another important project for someone else. Things might get interesting in a few weeks.
