Books on the Soviet/ Modern Russian Navy

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some background material on the Soviet and modern Russian navy. I'm particularly interested in the Admiral Kuznetsov, Kirov and Sovremenny classes. Can anyone recommend any good books on the subject, and where I could get decent drawings? Many thanks.

in english you can find in second hand booksellers, and they are very good, 3 book
breyer and polmar guide of the soviet navy (i have 1977 ed. so no kirov,sovremenny nor kuznetov)
pavlov warship of the ussr and russia 1945-1995
jordan soviet warships 1945 to the present (1992, revised and expanded edition)
they are also a italian book : cosentino stanglini la marina sovietica 1991 and 3 russian booklet of pavlov on kuznetov, kiev and 956 sovremenny
all this books are out of print but you can try on the internet second hand bookseller like bookfinder, abebooks, amazon, b&n etc
i have all this books more a very large collection of images from internet so if you need something ...

Any way also useful is the USNI series Guide to the Soviet Navy 4/5 ed I think out of print but quite usefull
Also I have a 19901 ed of Combatfleets of the World, the Soviet navy section 138 pages is almost a book in its self very good guide to the Soviet navy at the end of the coldwar.
I believe Ray Bean ( from the otherplace ) has put out a CD of Soviet ships from Cold war period I suspect that most of the photos may come from the DIVC site http://www.defenseimagery.mil/index.htm
