Nektarios-haven't heard from John lately. He posted on Steelnavy on the 5th, so he's probably Ok. Just busy perhaps.

Hey all,
WOW, what great work. I am done with my semester and am about to start my internship this week. After viewing the recent posts of the CVN 71, I finally broke down and purchased the Trumpeter Kit as well as the RoG Enterprise (which is disapointing compared to the Trumpeter kit).
I just am about to finish the LCC 20 Mount Whitney. I will post images soon.

Will you build the RoG CVN-65 as 1974 First Tomcat cruise and CVN-71 one as the Last Tomcat cruise ???

The CVN-71 will be my first true carrier so that will be fun. I also need to continue working on my Cimmaron which I am just starting as I finish my LCC-20. Your Cimmaron came out great!
John
I did not think of that, originally I wanted to do the CVN-65 modernized. It will take a lot of cutting and detailing. I have not been really able to post because of school. I took on extra classes this semester and my fall will be the same. This summer is my internship, which should let me post and build throughout the summer. Then December I finishes and will be able to model again. Will you build the RoG CVN-65 as 1974 First Tomcat cruise and CVN-71 one as the Last Tomcat cruise ???

Re: Postwar navy in 1/700.
MOney is always a problem in larger scales that s why i love 1/700. If a 1/700 carrier costs with all aftermarket sets around 150 to 200 euros i can imagine how much it would cost in 1/350.gtb -red wrote:Spads looking good. That's goin to cost me a lot of money in 1/350.![]()
