Arizona -> New Mexico = Possible?

Post by V-103 »

I've been studying some pictures and plans of the USS New Mexico and I've been struck by the similarities between it and the preceding Pennsylvania Class. If I wanted to, would it be able to easily make a New Mexico hull by taking a Dragon USS Arizona hull and adding a clipper bow to it? Just need some input from the experts here, just to make sure.

I think it's a little more than just the clipper bow. Take a look at some of the New Mexico's and you can see some other differences.

the new mexico is also longer then the pennsylvania so will need to stretch the hull a bit. the forward & aft hull gun casements have to be redone.
