I don't see how the UN can use the word "must" on any purely domestic issue that doesn't involve human rights.

A bunch of fools.
If an unfriendly power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war.

This lacks crediability-I don't see how a Human Rights Council that has the likes of Iran, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Syria And Sri Lanka, all with worse records than the UK, can expect this to be taken seriously! :mad_1:

Oh, but they can start by scouting for that kind of troubles if they just look to some of the Top UN countries. Mao's legacy is still in power and his "crimes" are yet to be checked...and I don't think they will be any time soon!!!

I was just taking examples from the article, I don't actually know this Human Rights Council Membership, and i didn't say that was a conclusive list I provided when it comes to Human Rights records (indeed, Russia still has questions to answer about it own purges during communist times, and i'm sure every country has something to answer), but still this won't get taken seriously here in the UK, because it will be noted that some of these countries have much bigger problems of their own to deal with when it comes to Human Rights.

So far this news story (if it is one :heh: ) seems to have passed Auntie Beeb by though, its not on their website...........

England is just not England without a Queen.

Nah, just the dreary weather alone is enough to make England.

What's Ireland (or the Midwest USA) for that matter?

If climate change brings resort weather, I'm all for it. Right now (9PM) it's 10C and dropping. It's rained or snowed most of the month so far.
