While heating plastic and slowly stretching it to make wire for antenna, cotton, fishing wire, and finally found an easy way - I brought some rigging string for model tall ships, cut to certain length, a weight at both ends and simply dribble super glue down the string, an hour later all nice and stiff and perfect for antenna wire to be painted whatever colour you like.
