NO, it's the Stiletto M-80 or M-90 if I recall correctly. Something for the marines as far as I know. Very fast! Cool build, although I haven't seen any camo on them before!

You re absolutely correct Neptune.

Its the new M-80 Stilleto kit from PT-Dockyard. The camo is something that came out of my head. Thats why you ve never seen it before.

Nektarios - that is one small ship.

Here are some images of the AO178 I think it is about finished. The crew still needs to board though.

Hi,

momentanely I work on Dragon's USS Pinckney DDG-91.

I had to stretch the hull 2mm and the hangar 1cm to get an accurate model. After extensive research I found out, that the ship got an CIWS after the 2. stack. I also rebuild the radar domes and reconstructed them bigger. So I built the ship in it's state of july 2008 during RIMPAC 2008 in the Pacific ocean.

The Tank arrangement and the carriages for the light machine guns were build with stretched sprue.

The acrylic gel medium on the base is drying at the moment. I want to "build" an high bow wave and show the ship durig a full speed drive.

I will post more pics, when the base is finished and the ship is on it.

Ohh, sorry, I forgot to login before I posted. Her are some more detail-pictures.

Here you can see, that I also added the Bow-anchor, by using a piece of sprue, which I formed to a ball. then I cut the Form with a knife. It's not 100% right, but I am satisfied with it.

Thanks for posting your pics! They'll be valuable to me as another reference while building my USS Sampson DDG-102 out of the Mustin kit.

That water is going to look nice! I'll be anxious to see more photos!

I too, stretched the hangar on my model, but didn't do anything with the hull, itself.

Could take and post some photos of the hangar and stern area, please.

Here is my model with the extended hangar. I have since fine tuned the putty areas and it looks better, now, than in these shots.

Hmm, my hangar is a bit longer stretched than yours. To stretch the hull I used 2 1mm stripes of evergreen and glued it in front of the aft part of the hull.

Very nice, Wolf!

Thanks for posting the shots of your hangar conversion. We were on the same wavelength, I think.

Instead of trying to match the angle of the superstructure I used strip styrene to extend the hangar and it is all solid behind the hangar doors and then I sanded it to match the superstructure angles. On the Sampson, I noticed that part of the curved side hull still existed so I left a little of that curved bulkhead.

I just took these photos of my work in progress. I sanded off the molded-in helo pad markings. I am waiting on PE by Pit-Road and by Midship Models. I want to compare the two sets.

Wolf224 and Carl. Your DDG-79 class ships look great. Keep the pics coming.

Carl i think you may need this for your DDG-102 unless you will scrtchbuild it.

It is the new Satcom found on newer USN and allied warships.
