What class of destroyer is the wreck? I thought it was a "4-piper" at first, but am not sure now (is it the old Revell "Forrest Sherman"? it appears to have post-war AA and ASW weapons). Great work on modelling the wreck, anyway - the bulkheads + decks at the break, the splintered deck and the crumpled/holed bow look very convincing.

Thanks yall for the encouraging words.
Mitchell; The ship is just shorter than the Enterprise, the modern one anyway.
EPinniger; The sunken ship is actually the Chinese destroyer from modern times called the Da Lian, I wanted a cheap kit to tear apart like this and this and her sister ships are the only ones that fit the bill. I just couldn't phathom paying out 40-60 bucks for a kit that I was going to destroy ( no pun intended ) anyway.
But I took the pics some of yall were looking for and they are below. I do thank yall for the advice and the encouragement. :thanks:

Not to much to update as it's taken me forever it seems to get the anchor chains and what not in place , I also added a place for the aft crane operator to operate, then I had a nasty gap down the whole side of the ship ( from using the wrong thickness of wood for the deck :doh_1: ) but in one of the pics you can see that I added some cover to fix that . But there just seems like i'm missing something on the forecastle, and the U.S. is something i'm toying with and think it looks pretty good, let me know what you think. Thanks and haave a good one.

Greetings...

Will you place 20mm aa guns at the port and stbd sides of the forecastle? If you want to add more detail try placing the anchor chain keys that are used for brakes for the chain ...

Thanks to all of you that havae helped me out with this project, i truly do appreciate it.

Congrats on finishing the build, Pro. I know at some points during it you were on the edge of your sanity, congrats on making it through!

Thanks yall, I was at most points on the egde of insanity :lol_3: . because when I started this build I was for sure what most of the components were  such as a barbette. and now that i'm working on the rigging i'm still going nuts :mad_2: . but i hope to have it finished by 4, oct for the local model show.
