closed shop
Because I feel that this web-site is very much a closed shop, yeah everyone is busy doing their own thing, but I don't believe for a moment that EVERYONE is that busy, so come, get off your backsides, and get typing, I am here and getting that rejected feeling, not good. Anyway, you'll probably already know - the best glue in my opion is ZAP CA, contact glue you bet it is, also never mind about burning bits of plastic and stretching them to make rigging, just some thin string, dribble suer glue down it, wait a while, goes as stiff as a - its really good and because its sealled, Zap glue, watch your fingers and believe me, you won't want to burn and stretch plastic any more.

Interesting technique, but I think I'll stick with fishing line.

Hmm, what kind of string are you using? I find that hardly any regular string is thin enough so as to be suitable for 350th or smaller scales.

Zap CA is the best for balsa and ply, and works well with bonding dissimilars like carbon fiber to wing spars or glass cloth to polycarbonate cowls for reinforcing mounting points before coating with resin. For plastic and etch, Carl Goldberg Model's JET medium is the best, followed by Bob Smith Industries medium CA. The Bob Smith stuff is a bit unique as it will slightly melt styrene for incredibly strong joints for big projects like gluing the Nimitz hull together, and their odorless CA is one of the better ones.
